Susan Yaggy, MPA
Susan Yaggy, MPA received her Master's Degree in Public Administration from the University of New Hampshire in 1974. Ms. Yaggy currently serves as Chief of the Duke, Division of Community Health, established under her leadership in 1998. Ms. Yaggy is also the Associate Director of the Duke Center for Community Research of the Duke Translational Medicine Institute (DTMI), Associate Professor of Community and Family Medicine and Assistant Professor of Nursing at the Duke University Medical Center in Durham, North Carolina.
Ms. Yaggy served as Acting Director of the New Hampshire Division of Public Health Services, the state public health agency, and Deputy Director of the New Hampshire Medicaid state agency. She was the Director of State Health Plan Implementation for acute, primary care and long term care for the statewide New Hampshire Health Systems Agency, and Executive Director of a rural federally qualified health center, Lamprey Health Care. Ms. Yaggy served in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts Executive Department of Administration and Finance, and the City of New York Health Services Administration. She is the recipient of the 2005 GlaxoSmithKline North Carolina Child Health Individual Recognition Award, and is the author or co-author of numerous peer-reviewed articles on community health.
